Product Description
ApplicationSeries Resonant systems with variable inductance result in low power requirements for testing high kVA capacitive loads and this reduces the cost of energy for performing HV tests. This type of system is most widely used for performing AC Withstand tests on all types of capacitive loads and has the added advantage of being well suited for partial discharge measurements and site location. The system is comprised of a variable inductance HV reactance that can be tuned to a given capacitive load to achieve resonance. - High Q systems requiring 1/20th to 1/100th of the test power from the mains.
- Harmonic Distortion <0.5%.
- Minimum fault current as the system detunes during a flashover.
